Echoes of Mahadev betting app scam were heard in the winter session of Maharashtra Assembly on Thursday. It was told in the Assembly that the money from Mahadev App scam has been invested in real estate. State Deputy CM and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the builder has been identified. SIT and ED are investigating the case. During the proceedings of the House, many questions were also asked by the opposition MLAs.
Devendra Fadnavis, while answering questions in the House, also made a big appeal to the film stars of the country. He said that he told the film stars not to promote any such gaming app in future. He said that the investigating agencies will complete the investigation in the next two months. NIA investigation of the case is not necessary, ED is already investigating.

During the assembly proceedings, BJP leader Ashish Shelar said that the money earned through Mahadev App is being invested through builders. Along with this, he also accused him of investing money in infra projects. In response, Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that ED is investigating the matter. Investigation is also being done through Mumbai Police.
Mahadev App parent company, its 67 apps
State Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that Mahadev App is a parent company which is being run through Saurabh Chandrakar, Ravi Uppal. It has a total of 67 apps and all are connected to each other. They also have a portal in which Mahadev App has 80-20 percent partnership. Its registration has been done in Venezuela, South America.
‘Cyber cell cannot monitor WhatsApp and Telegram channels’
During the House proceedings, Maharashtra Congress leader MLA Nana Patole asked what the state’s IT cell was doing in this entire matter? Fadnavis replied that the gambling which was banned physically was started online by these people. Their entire system was running through WhatsApp and Telegram. Therefore cyber cell cannot monitor WhatsApp and Telegram channels. Consideration is going on to bring a new law regarding data sharing.
Appeal to stars not to do such advertisements
At the same time, independent MLA Bachchu Kadu raised the issue of using stars for online gaming. He said that stars promote this, will there be any action against that also? In response, Fadnavis said that a central law will have to be prepared for action on online gaming. The gaming app is operated from somewhere else and its registration is done somewhere else. Stars should stay away from such advertisements. I appeal to everyone not to make such advertisements.
Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan asked whether there can be any discussion with the Central Government in this regard, through which such a habit is being imposed? In response, the Home Minister said that we will also discuss how to bring regulation on this from the state side.
