Workers of Aam Aamdi Party's student wing taking out a torch march.
Aam Aadmi Party's student wing, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti (CYSS) took out a torch march on Tuesday in protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The torch march of CYSS started from Vivekananda Statue, Arts Faculty, Delhi University. Apart from this, Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Committee of Aam Aadmi Party also started a signature campaign in all the colleges of Delhi in support of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal is lodged in Tihar jail in the Delhi liquor scam case.
During the torch march, AAP youth leader Vandana Singh said that Arvind Kejriwal made arrangements for free electricity, water, education, health and bus travel for women for the people of Delhi. Such a Chief Minister was arrested during the elections, which is a big betrayal of democracy. The youth and students of the country have come on the streets against this dictatorship of the Central Government and are standing with Arvind Kejriwal.
Student union claims that DU students also participated in DU Mart.
CYSS claims that students of Delhi University participated enthusiastically in the torch march. Because the students know that the only purpose of putting such a big face of the opposition behind jail a few weeks before the Lok Sabha elections is to keep Arvind Kejriwal away from the election campaign. The youth of Delhi are understanding that this arrest is not against corruption, but has been done with the intention of contesting elections without opposition. Arvind Kejriwal defeated Modi ji's politics thrice in Delhi Assembly and in Punjab and then defeated him in MCD also. Only Arvind Kejriwal can do this and has been able to do it.
