India, China and America are also eyeing the elections held in Nepal. Meanwhile, information has come to the fore that the current Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba Has won for the seventh consecutive time from Dadeldhura constituency in western Nepal with a huge margin of votes. His Nepali Congress party is leading by winning 11 seats so far. Voting was held last Sunday for the House of Representatives and the Legislative Assemblies of seven provinces in the Himalayan country. The counting of votes was started on Monday.

- Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba got 25,534 votes, while his nearest rival and independent candidate Sagar Dhakal got 1,302 votes. Deuba has never lost any parliamentary election in his political career of five decades. Nepali Congress President Deuba is currently holding the post of Prime Minister for the fifth time.
- Sagar Dhakal is a young engineer who had a verbal spat with Deuba five years ago during a public discussion on a TV programme. After this he decided to challenge Deuba saying that now youth should enter politics and senior people like Deuba should rest.
- The ruling Nepali Congress has so far won 11 seats in the House of Representatives, while it is leading in 46 other seats. At the same time, the main opposition party CPN-UML (Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist-Leninist), led by former Prime Minister KP Oli, has so far won three seats, while it has gained an edge in 42 seats.
- The newly formed Rashtriya Swatantra Party won three seats in Kathmandu district. Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, CPN-Unified Socialist and Civil Liberation Party have secured one seat each. So far the election results of 20 seats in the House of Representatives have been announced.
- Elections are being held for 275 seats in the federal parliament and 550 seats in seven provincial assemblies in Nepal. Of the total 275 members of the Federal Parliament, 165 will be elected through direct voting, while the remaining 110 will be elected through a proportional election system.
- Out of a total of 550 members of the Provincial Legislative Assemblies in Nepal, 330 are directly elected, while 220 are elected through the proportional system.
- Nepali Congress candidate Prakash Man Singh has won from Kathmandu-1 seat. Singh got a total of 7,140 votes, while his nearest rival and Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Ravindra Mishra got 7,011 votes.
- Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa won the election to the House of Representatives from Kathmandu Constituency Number-4 by a margin of about 7,500 votes. He defeated Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML. Thapa got 21,294 votes while Bhattarai got 13,853 votes.
- Nagrik Unmukti Party candidate Gangaram Chowdhary won the election to the House of Representatives from Kailali-3 constituency. He got 23,120 votes while Kundan Chowdhary of CPN-Maoist Center got 17,749 votes.
- Former prime minister and CPN-UML president KP Sharma Oli is leading from Jhapa-5 constituency. Pushpakamal Dahal, president of CPN-Maoist, is leading from Prachanda Gorkha-2 constituency. He has so far secured 7,057 votes against RSP’s Kavinder Burlakoti’s 1,929 votes.
