Akhilesh Yadav: Lok Sabha 2024 (General Election 2024) all the parties have started gearing up their preparations. Everyone’s eyes are on Uttar Pradesh, the state with the maximum number of Lok Sabha seats in the country, because the lock of Delhi’s power opens only with the key of UP. Soon after the voting for the Legislative Council seats, Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the main opposition Samajwadi Party of UP, has shown a glimpse of the organizational preparations for the 2024 battle by announcing the new national executive of his party. If we look at the composition of the new executive, it is known that Akhilesh Yadav has completely distanced himself from the upper castes and by not giving a single upper caste a place in the list, he has bet on everyone else. But now questions are being raised on his decisions.
Will it be difficult to sideline the upper castes?
Let us tell you that in the entire Uttar Pradesh, 19% of the votes are of upper castes alone, in that also 11% are Brahmin votes and 6% are Kshatriya votes. However, 41% votes belong to the highest OBC castes alone. After that 21 percent vote of SC category and Muslim vote is also equal to 19% of upper caste vote. So it seems that Akhilesh Yadav, who had wooed the upper castes in the name of Lord Parshuramji in the last state assembly election, is ready to face the opposition of upper caste leaders in the party this time? Or is there an attempt to reverse Yogi Aditya’s 80:20 formula and make a new formula.

Who’s who in the executive
There is not a single upper caste name in the new names in the executive. Akhilesh has selected Vice President, Chief National General Secretary, National General Secretary and other National Secretaries in this executive. This time SP has no Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Vaishyas among the 14 new National General Secretaries.
Among others, Swami Prasad Maurya, Ram Achal Rajbhar, Vishwambhar Prasad Nishad, Ravi Prakash Verma, Lal Ji Verma, Neeraj Chaudhary and Harendra Malik have been made national general secretaries. On the other hand, in other teams, Akhilesh has given a lot of space to defectors from other parties.
Where can be the result
Perhaps Akhilesh Yadav knows that SP’s caste based on OBC politics does not trust SP and naturally majority votes for BJP. That’s why he wants to concentrate more on remaining 80 percent votes. While in the last assembly elections, by using Vikas Dubey’s encounter as a weapon, an attempt was made to divert upper caste sensibilities towards the party.
