All the claims of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, who claims to crack down on corruption in Rajasthan, are failing. The latest case is related to the big corruption of the financial advisor posted in Jaipur Secretariat. Where a sensational case of disproportionate assets by a female officer has come to light. According to the case, Jyoti Bhardwaj, posted as financial advisor in Jaipur Secretariat, bought 26 flats worth Rs 5 crore in just 2 days.
The surprising thing was that despite holding a senior position, the woman officer got 15 flats registered in her own name and 11 flats in the name of her son Roshan Vashishtha within two days. The haste in getting the registration done was so great that the lady officer, in collusion with the officials, got the registration done within 48 hours.
Jyoti Bhardwaj hid the information about these flats
At the same time, it came to light that the checks given by Jyoti Bhardwaj in the registry of flats. Even after one and a half years, he has not been able to get cash from the bank. The biggest thing is that Jyoti Bhardwaj did not make any mention of these flats even in the information about their assets given by the officers and employees to the state government every year. The information about these flats was hidden. In the details given to the government, Jyoti Bhardwaj mentioned only three houses in which one house was taken by her husband on loan and the other two houses were said to be taken from her own loan.
All 26 plots were registered at the Mansarovar Sub Registrar Office in Jaipur. It is being told that the price of these flats is Rs 4 crore 71 lakh. About Rs 30 lakh stamp duty was paid in the registry of flats.
Who is Jyoti Bhardwaj?
Jyoti Bhardwaj is currently posted as Financial Advisor in the Store Department of Personnel Department in Government Secretariat, Jaipur. Jyoti Bhardwaj has also held the lucrative post of District Treasurer in Alwar and Financial Controller in Matsya University for a long time.
The check given to the builder was not encashed by the bank.
All 26 flats have been purchased from Ajay Singh, Director of Boney Buildtech located in JDA Market of Mansarovar Link Road. No loan was taken to purchase all these flats. So the big question arises that where did the payment of about Rs 5 crore come from. At the same time, information came to light that the checks given to the builder were not encashed from the bank even after one and a half years. All the checks are given at DLC rate whereas the actual market price of these flats is many times higher. When Ajay Singh, director of Bonny Builder was talked to, he told that a fraud has happened with us and the matter is still pending in the court. According to Boney, all the checks given by Jyoti Bhardwaj have bounced.
Builder said- matter in court
On this matter, Jyoti Bhardwaj said that this was a business deal between Boney Builder and us. My husband Arvind is aware of this. On talking to Arvind, he told that some checks were given to Boney Builder by Jyoti Bhardwaj. Some of the checks were my own. On the question of not cashing the cheque, Arvind said that it is a matter between me and the builder. The matter is still sub-judicial.
There was a stir in the department after the matter came to light
After the matter came to light, despite the holiday on Saturday, senior officials of the Finance and Accounts Department were seen sitting in the office to brainstorm on this issue. The Accounts and Personnel Department is investigating why woman officer Jyoti Bhardwaj did not give information about purchasing 26 flats in the property details given every year by government officers and employees. Now the department is preparing to give notice to Jyoti Bhardwaj. But the question arises that why no FI has been lodged by the department against Jyoti Bhardwaj yet.
