While Congress candidate Lakhabhai Bharwad, who won the 2017 election from this seat, got 42724 votes. Hardik Patel won with a margin of more than 51 thousand votes.
2- Pradyumansingh Jadeja
BJP candidate Pradyuman Singh Jadeja contested the 2017 elections on a Congress ticket from Abdasa seat in Kutch district. After this, he left the Congress and joined the BJP and won on the BJP ticket in the by-election. BJP again fielded him from this seat and he defeated Mamdbhai Jung of Congress by 9431 votes. Pradyuman Singh Jadeja got 80195 votes and Mamdbhai Jung of INC got 70764 votes.
3- Harshad Ribadia
Just before the Gujarat elections, Harshad Ribadia, who left the Congress and joined the BJP, was fielded by the BJP from Visavadar seat in Junagadh. 4- Lord Brar
