People here said that complaints about sewerage were being made continuously, but the officials were not listening.
When public complaints were not resolved, the Water Minister himself descended to ground zero and took stock of the problem. During the inspection, people told the Water Minister that there is a sewer problem in the area for a long time. The sewer lines have not been cleaned for months, due to which sewer water is flowing in the streets. People said that the Water Board officials are not ready to listen to the complaints.
Said to take action against negligent officers
The Water Minister said that the Kejriwal government has no room for careless officials. Officials should always be accountable to the public. If any officer shows negligence in this, then be prepared for strict action against him. He instructed the officials to solve all the sewer problems in the area as soon as possible.
Due to the negligence of the authorities, water and sewer problems are coming to the fore in many parts of Delhi. Today when I came to JJ Colony, Ashok Vihar, I saw public anger towards DJB.

Why are sewers not cleaned despite having machines?
On checking the log book during the inspection, the Water Minister found that despite having machines, the sewers were not being cleaned. In such a situation, the Water Minister asked the officials why such negligence is being done in the matter of cleaning sewers? He said that the officers should make a checklist of the problems and get all the sewer lines cleaned immediately by installing machines in every block of Ashok Vihar JJ Colony.
Water Minister Atishi promised the people that no matter how many obstacles arise, as long as Arvind Kejriwal is the Chief Minister of Delhi, he will not let the work of the people of Delhi stop.
