Decision on 370 in Supreme Court today
The Supreme Court will give its verdict today on the issue of abolishing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and dividing a state into two parts and making it a Union Territory. The court will see whether Parliament had the power to make changes in Article 370 of the Constitution and take away the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, or it could be done only on the recommendations of the Constituent Assembly of the former state.
1. Before the Supreme Court’s decision on Section 370, senior lawyer Kapil Sibal has made a tweet. He said that ‘some battles are fought only to be lost.’ He said that history has to record inconvenient truths for generations to know.
