Senior RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari has been sentenced to 1 year imprisonment by Special Judge MP MLA Court. Besides, the court has also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on him. The court has given this decision in the case of Nitish government minister Sanjay Jha versus Shivanand Tiwari. It was said in the decision that Shivanand Tiwari’s statement has hurt Sanjay Jha’s reputation. His reputation has been damaged and his respect has been tarnished in the eyes of the people.
While giving verdict in favor of Sanjay Jha, the court has sentenced Shivanand Tiwari to one year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. RJD leader and close to Lalu Yadav Shivanand Tiwari had given a statement against Sanjay Jha in 2018.
Objectionable things about CM Nitish and Sanjay Jha
Shivanand Tiwari had then said that during the Darbhanga tour, why does Nitish Kumar stay at Sanjay Jha’s house instead of staying in a guest house? After this, JDU General Secretary Sanjay Kumar Jha had filed a case in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. Shivanand Tiwari in his statement had said objectionable things regarding the relationship between CM Nitish Kumar and Sanjay Jha.
