During this period, there was no reduction in Atiq’s crimes. Rather, he continued committing crimes while sitting in jail. Within no time, more than 100 cases were registered in its history sheet. The fear of the scoundrel was such that not only the common man, but even the big judges used to tremble while writing the verdict. Atiq Ahmed was in jail in the year 2012 itself. He had filed a bail application in the High Court to contest the elections. At that time, the fear of Atiq was such that one by one 10 judges recused themselves from the hearing.
