Former captain of Indian team Sourav Ganguly Kolkata’s Lower Rawdon Street bungalow will soon be hammered. Sourav Ganguly himself to demolish the two-storey house built on 23.6 Kattha plot Kolkata Municipal Corporation permission has been sought from Last May, Sourav Ganguly bought this bungalow for Rs 40 crore. The handover of this property had become the talk of the town. Ganguly is currently in Kolkata Behala Now it is believed that after the construction of the new bungalow, his address will be changed in Kolkata.
Eight months after the handover, Sourav Ganguly has recently written to the Director General of KMC Building Department. He informed about the demolition of the two-storey building and has sought approval for the same.
Sourav Ganguly seeks permission to demolish bungalow in Kolkata
The application was sent along with a note to the Executive Engineer of Borough 8 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation seeking permission to demolish it. The senior official admitted, “We have received an application from the owner of 8/1A Lower Rawdon Street to demolish the existing building on a sprawling 23.6 katha plot. We have no objection. An official from the KMC building department said, “We need to monitor the demolition process to ensure that proper pollution guidelines are being followed during the demolition process.”
Sourav Ganguly bought the bungalow in the month of May
Please tell that Sourav Ganguly has bought a two-storey bungalow at 8/1A Lower Rawdon Street. It has a carpet area of around 10,000 sq ft and a sprawling lawn spread over 7,200-8,000 sq ft. The bungalow also has an outhouse, covered garage for two cars and paved driveway. An official of the KMC building department said that they were waiting for a detailed building plan from the Ganguly family after demolishing the bungalow. This is a very busy area of Kolkata.
G+4 storey building plan
Real estate observers feel that the plot is ideal for a bungalow. A KMC official said that if the width of the road was 6.75 metres, a G+4 storey building could have been constructed. If the width is 9 meters or more then G plus 12 storey building can be made. If the road is wide then there is no height limit for the construction of residential buildings. An official said that the G+4 building could be constructed on Lower Rodan Street. An official said, “Let Ganguly submit the building plan, we will examine the same.”
