Uterus removed from young man’s stomach through operation
A unique case has come to light in the history of medical surgery in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh. Where the uterus that comes out of the stomach of women has been surgically removed from the stomach of a 27 year old young man. According to the doctor, when the young man complained of stomach ache. Then the young man was admitted to a private hospital. When the doctors examined the pain, it was found that the young man had a uterus in his stomach like women. The team of doctors removed the uterus from the young man’s stomach outside the surgery. In the world of medical history, only 300 cases are claimed to have been found so far.
In fact, on September 25, a 27-year-old youth from Kanker area was admitted to a private hospital in Dhamtari on the complaint of stomach pain and swelling in the thigh. After examining the young man, the doctors diagnosed hernia and absence of testicles on both sides. The doctors also advised the young man’s family to undergo an operation.
Rare organ seen in stomach during operation
Meanwhile, the next day the young man was being operated on. So the doctors found a rare organ in the young man’s stomach. Doctors found a uterus inside the young man’s stomach. Which was taken out by the team of doctors after surgery. After this, the young man got relief from his stomach pain. However, the doctors have not revealed the identity of the young man.
This disease is called PMDS
Private hospital operator Dr. Roshan Upadhyay said that with the permission of the family, the uterus, fallopian tube and right testicle located inside the stomach of the young man have been operated and removed from the stomach. Along with this, hernia operation on the right side has also been done. He told that this disease is called Persistent Mullerian Duct Syndrome (PMDS). This happens due to mutational changes in genes. In this, the male genitalia are normal externally but the female uterus, tubes and eggs are found inside the stomach. Dr. Roshan Upadhyay, Dr. Martin, Dr. Rashmi Upadhyay, anesthesiologist Dr. Pradeep Dewangan were present in this operation.
Female organs develop in men
This type of disease is called Persistent Müllerian Duct Syndrome. According to doctors, anti-Müllerian hormone is present only in men. Due to its deficiency, female organs develop in men. But this is rarely seen. So far, about 300 such cases have been reported in the world, which include male patients ranging from 8 months to 27 years.
