New Delhi: navy and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) carried out a joint operation to recover about 2,500 kg worth Rs 12,000 crore methamphetamine Has been seized from a ship standing on the Kerala coast, the Anti-Drug Agency informed about it today i.e. on Saturday. He said that this was the biggest seizure of methamphetamine in the country and in this case a suspected Pakistani has been detained. While talking to the media, NCB officials said that the National Control Bureau (NCB) has launched ‘Operation 2022’. The raid was carried out as part of Samudragupta.
The operation targeted maritime smuggling of drugs originating from Afghanistan. The operation was led by NCB Deputy Director General (Ops) Sanjay Kumar Singh. The purpose of which was to stop the ships involved in drug smuggling. Along with this, intelligence information was also to be collected.

This is the third biggest seizure in a year and a half
The team has collaborated with various drug law enforcement agencies such as the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Gujarat’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and intelligence agencies including the intelligence wing of the Indian Navy and NTRO. 6 Iranian smugglers were arrested
Let us tell you that the first success of ‘Operation Samudragupt’ was achieved in February 2022. In this operation, NCB and the Indian Navy had seized 529 kg of hashish, 221 kg of methamphetamine and 13 kg of heroin by running a joint program. In the same year, in the second operation, an Iranian boat was stopped off the coast of Kerala. In this, a total of 200 imported from Afghanistan Kg of high grade heroin was seized. Along with this, 6 Iranian smugglers were also caught.
