There are a total of 19 assembly seats in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, which also includes Bagru seat. Congress holds the Bagru assembly seat under Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency. Bharatiya Janata Party has given ticket to Kailash Chand Verma on this seat reserved for Scheduled Caste, while Congress has again expressed confidence in its sitting MLA Ganga Devi Verma. Once again a tough competition has been seen on this seat. Both the candidates are trying their best.
If we discuss the results of Bagru Assembly seat in the last assembly elections, Congress candidate Ganga Devi Verma got 96,635 votes, while BJP’s Kailash Chand Verma got 91,292 votes. At the same time, Dinesh Rai Bhati of Rashtriya Loktantrik Party had secured 15,796 votes and made the election triangular. Ganga Devi won the election by a margin of only 5,343 (2.5%) votes.

Congress won Bagru seat twice
During the last assembly elections, there were a total of 2,73,929 voters in Bagru seat, out of which the number of male voters was 1,55,404 and the number of female voters was 1,38,525. Voting was 72.37 percent, whereas in 2013 it was 72.70 percent and in 2008 it was 55.60 percent.
If we look at the political history of Bagru assembly seat, this seat was created after the delimitation of 2008 and in the 3 elections held so far, Congress has won twice, while BJP has won once. This seat has been created by combining 40 gram panchayats, which also includes 21 municipal corporation wards.
72.07 percent voting on Bagru seat
This time there were 3 lakh 52 thousand 418 voters in Bagru assembly seat, which included 1 lakh 84 thousand 727 male voters and 1 lakh 67 thousand 686 female voters. According to the Election Commission, 2 lakh 53 thousand 991 people have cast their votes, in which the number of men is 1 lakh 35 thousand 505 and the number of women is 1 lakh 18 thousand 483. Overall, 72.07 percent voting took place.
