In fact, in Dwarka at night, a husband and wife who were sleeping by lighting a fireplace in their house died of suffocation. Their two-month-old child survived. According to the information, a family was living with their 2-month-old child in Pochanpur village of Dwarka Sector-23. Someone called Sector-23 police and informed that the sound of a child crying was coming from inside a house and its parents were lying on the ground below. They tried to open the door, but when it did not open, they broke the window. When I looked inside, I saw that the parents were lying on the ground while the child was crying.
After receiving the information, some policemen reached Pochanpur village. Husband’s name is said to be Manav and wife’s name is said to be Neha. Both of them used to work as laborers in Delhi. Manav and Neha along with their two-month-old baby were taken to IG hospital in a PCR van, where Manav and Neha were declared dead by the doctors, while the two-month-old baby was admitted to the hospital and treatment started.
Police said that at night the family was sleeping with the fireplace lit in the house. The husband and wife lost their lives due to smoke and suffocation in the closed room, while the two-month-old child survived. Let us tell you that this is not the first case where family members have lost their lives due to burning of fireplace in the house. Such incidents are being seen every day in cold weather.
Knowingly or unknowingly, people are careless in winter. They sacrifice their lives to escape the winter. Recently, a person who was sleeping by lighting a fireplace in an under-construction house died due to burning. Pankaj, a resident of Gujaratiyan Mohalla of Kotwali area, was a businessman. His house was very old, so they were demolishing it and rebuilding it. He was living with his family in a rented house nearby. Bars and other items were kept in the house under construction, so Pankaj used to sleep there at night. When his wife reached the house in the morning to wake him up, he was burnt.
