Calcutta High Court of Justice Subrata Talukdar and Justice Supratim Bhattacharya bench gave such a decision on Friday. At the same time, the division bench also set aside the order of direct appointment of 252 persons by a single bench of Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay and said that the recruitment merit be done on the basis of
In this context, the High Court said that if the Board of Primary Education has said that 3929 posts have been included in the upcoming recruitment circular, then these posts should be excluded from that circular. Here only those who have passed the 2014 TET will get a chance.
Challenged the decision of the single bench of the High Court
Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay had ordered to fill the remaining vacant posts in the 2020 primary recruitment process. Challenging his order, the Board of Primary Education went to the Division Bench. The board said that the order of the single bench has created complications in recruitment. Two recruitment processes were completed in 2016 and 2020 on the basis of 2014 TET. The state government and board announced the recruitment of 16,500 posts in the recruitment of 2020. But later it was alleged that not all the posts were filled.
In the year 2014, there was no restoration on 3929 posts.
Recently, in the hearing of the Calcutta High Court, it was revealed that 12,500 posts out of 16,500 were filled at that time. That is, there was no appointment on 3929 posts then. Justice Gangopadhyay in his observation said that the right to this vacancy belongs to those who have passed TET 2014. So he has to be appointed. Later he ordered to give jobs to the litigants due to mistake in this Tet question.
Many cases were filed regarding recruitment in the High Court
Later, many cases were registered in the High Court regarding wrong questions. Last September, Justice Gangopadhyay ordered that 3,929 posts be filled on the basis of merit among applicants. On November 11, the board has to report in the court who has been given the job. Three days before giving the report to the single bench, the board went to the division bench challenging the order of Justice Gangopadhyay.
