Taiwan CDC Deputy Director General Chuang Zhen-hsiang says that this virus is spreading from animals to humans. At present, there has been no report of human-to-human transmission of this virus so far. In the survey conducted on domestic animals, 2% cases have been found in goats and 5% in dogs. He further said that the test results on 25 wild animal species suggest that the mole may be the main cause of the spread of this Langya henipavirus. Experts have asked people to be cautious about it till more information comes about the virus.

Symptoms of Zoonotic Langya Virus
Patients with zoonotic Langya virus have developed symptoms such as fever, fatigue, cough, loss of appetite, muscle pain, nausea, headache and vomiting. Along with this, symptoms like decrease in blood cells, liver and kidney failure were also seen.
