Strongest Global Storm: According to the US Joint Typhoon Warning Center, Super Typhoon Himanor is currently moving at about 160 miles (257 kph) per hour. Its maximum speed is recorded at 195 mph. Because of this, wave heights of up to 50 feet (15 m) have been recorded.
Super Typhoon Hinmanor is the most powerful tropical cyclone on Earth this year and is gaining strength in the West Pacific Ocean, threatening people and livelihoods in Japan, the Philippines and China.
It is currently moving across the East China Sea, threatening the southern islands of Japan and the eastern coast of China. According to data from the US Joint Typhoon Warning Center, it is bringing winds of about 257 kilometers per hour and 314 kilometers per hour. The maximum critical wave height of Hinmanor is 15 m.
Estimated to move to Ryukyu Island now
According to an official of the Japan Meteorological Agency, Hinamanor will be the strongest and strongest storm of 2022 based on the speed of this storm recorded so far. The Hong Kong Observatory said the storm was centered about 230 kilometers east of Okinawa, Japan at 10 a.m. and is forecast to move west-southwest toward Ryukyu Island at about 22 kilometers per hour.
