India Nepal Rail Project: Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is on a tour of India these days. On Thursday, the second day of his tour, he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, bilateral issues were discussed between the two. In his media statement after the talks, Modi said that he and Prachanda took several important decisions to make the partnership between the two countries a “super hit” in the future, even as the two leaders reviewed several projects remotely. inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several other projects.
Green signal given to new rail project
After the talks, the two leaders virtually inaugurated the Integrated Check Post at Rupaidiha in India and Nepalgunj in Nepal. He virtually flagged off a goods train from Bihar’s Bathnaha to Nepal Custom Yard. The launch of this project will greatly benefit both the countries and it will be easier to travel from India to Nepal.

The works of Ramayana circuit will accelerate
During this, PM Modi said that in order to further strengthen cultural and religious ties, Nepal’s PM Prachanda and I decided to speed up the projects related to Ramayana circuit. In his remarks, Prachanda said he and Modi “comprehensively reviewed” the progress in ties and renewed their commitment to further strengthen ties and cooperation.
India will promote Nepal in many areas
India and Nepal signed seven agreements to boost cooperation in several areas, including expansion of cross-border petroleum pipeline, development of integrated check posts and promotion of cooperation in hydroelectric power. One of the major agreements signed was the Revised Indo-Nepal Treaty of Transit.
‘Will make partnership a super hit’
PM Modi said in the presence of Prachanda, “We will continue to strive to take our relations to the heights of the Himalayas and in this spirit we will resolve all issues, be it border related or any other issue.” He said that we will establish such a relationship between India and Nepal that our borders do not become a barrier between us. He said that today “our partnership is indeed proving to be a ‘hit’. He will soon make this partnership a super hit”.
