Imran Khan: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has become like a stranger in his own country. On one hand the media is not paying attention to him, and on the other hand his party PTI is facing the threat of ban. Recently, the government there had instructed the media regulating authority Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to immediately stop all coverage of Imran Khan and ban him in the media. The effect of which is now visible.
Pakistan was on fire after Imran’s arrest
PEMRA had said that coverage of rioters and hate mongers should be stopped completely. Although PEMRA did not mention Imran Khan here, it was referring to Khan. Because recently after the arrest of Imran Khan whole Pakistan was burnt. In protest against the arrest, incidents of arson and sabotage were reported across the country. At that time Imran had said that if anything happens to him, the whole of Pakistan will burn. After which riots broke out in many places. Many people lost their lives in these riots.
PEMRA gave strict instructions to TV channels
After the riots, the Government of Pakistan took a major step and instructed PEMRA to immediately remove anti-national forces and hate mongers from TV coverage. Following this, PEMRA asked television licensees to ensure that such coverage is completely banned. Failure to do so, television licensees were also warned of strict action.
The sword of ban hanging on PTI
The effect of PEMRA’s warning has also started showing now. Former PM Imran Khan has been completely banned by the media. Neither he nor his party is being given any attention. At the same time, the sword of banning his party PTI is also hanging. According to media reports, the Pakistani government is preparing to ban PTI. In such a situation, the clouds of trouble on Imran Khan seem to be deepening.
