CWG 2022: Bad news is coming from the Pakistani sports world, in fact, the Pakistan Boxing Federation has told that two of its national boxers have gone missing from Birmingham after the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games. PBF secretary Nasir Tang told newspaper Dawn that two boxers Suleiman Baloch and Nazirullah had gone missing hours before the team left for Islamabad. Tang said the travel documents, including his passport, are still with the federation officials who accompanied the boxing team to the Games. He said the team management has informed the Pakistan High Commission in the UK and the relevant authorities in London about the disappearance of Suleiman and Nazir Ullah.

Tang said the missing key parts documents were kept in accordance with the standard operating procedure for all players coming from Pakistan. The Pakistan Olympic Association has constituted a four-member committee to investigate the case of missing boxers.
Pakistan could not win any medal in the boxing competition of the Commonwealth Games. The country has won 8 medals in these sports including two gold in weightlifting and javelin throw. The disappearance of the main parts comes two months after national swimmer Faizan Akbar went missing from the FINA World Championships in Hungary. However, Akbar did not even compete in the championship and disappeared with his passport and other documents a few hours after arriving in Budapest with no trace of his whereabouts since June.
