The anger among the people of Bangladesh due to rising inflation is clearly visible. Angry people have taken to the streets to protest. As soon as the protesters faced the police there, people lost their cool and started pelting stones. The police also opened a front against the protesters and started firing tear gas shells at the stone pelters. Due to this action of the police, the anger of the protesters got furious and at that time whatever items they found in their hands started throwing towards the police.

Petrol diesel price hike
Violence erupted in Bangladesh when there was a historic hike in the prices of petrol and diesel. A day earlier, the government there increased the price of one liter of petrol by 51 percent to 130 taka, which is 108 rupees in India. Till Saturday, the price of a liter of petrol in Bangladesh was Rs 86, which is close to Rs 71 in India. Not only this, the price of diesel and kerosene has also been increased by 42 percent. Now one liter of diesel and kerosene is being sold for 114 Bangladeshi taka. In Indian Rupee it is Rs.95 per liter. Dhaka was briefly held hostage by protesters after violent clashes broke out between the two sides.
Chinese foreign minister arrives in Dhaka
As always, China has not shied away from making its move. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has reached Dhaka to promote business ties between the two countries. Whereas experts claim that the way Sri Lanka was ruined due to China’s debt, Bangladesh has not started on the same path.
