In July this year, there was a burglary in the US, in which personal data of Samsung users was stolen. The company wrote in an email that an unauthorized third party obtained information from some of Samsung’s US systems.

Samsung has stated on its FAQ page that as of late July 2022, an unauthorized third party obtained information from some of Samsung’s US systems. The company, in its ongoing investigation on or around August 4, found that personal information of some users had been leaked. However, Samsung has clarified that the information related to the social security number or credit card and debit card of the users has not been leaked.

Samsung has advised its users to be alert. This incident is not related to the users’ device, but still the company has advised users to change the password as a precaution. Apart from this, the company has advised users to avoid sharing their personal information and clicking on any suspicious links.
