Sudhir Naik met with an accident at his home
Sudhir Naik was admitted to the ICU at Hinduja Hospital after he collapsed at his residence in Mumbai on March 26. Sudhir Naik, 78, is still unconscious and fighting for his life. On his Test debut at Edgbaston, he scored a brilliant 77 in the second innings, but India still lost the match by an innings and 78 runs. The England team won the series by a clean sweep of 3-0. He then went on to play two more Test matches against the West Indies.

Sudhir Naik’s cricket career was like this
Sudhir Naik played 3 Test matches for the Indian National Team and scored 141 runs. ODI cricket was newly started during the time of Sudhir Naik. This is the reason that he could play only two ODIs. In these two matches, he scored a total of 38 runs. Naik also worked as a pitch consultant at the Wankhede Cricket Ground for nearly 30 years. But later in 2016, he left his job. In the Ranji Trophy for Bombay, Naik did very well and scored 2687 runs at an average of 40.10 with a highest score of 200 not out against Baroda in the 1973–74 season. But Sudhir Naik’s greatest achievement was when under his leadership Bombay won India’s most prestigious domestic cricket trophy in 1970–71.
