Saurav Ghoshal: India’s legendary squash player Saurav Ghosal has reached the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Saurav Ghosal won the round of 32 match by an equal margin of 3-0. Joshna, on the other hand, defeated Megan Best of Barbados. With this win, they have confirmed their place in the semi-finals. Significantly, Joshna has become the national champion 18 times.

Earlier on Saturday, Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal made it to the round of 16 of the women’s and men’s singles events of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games with easy wins in their respective matches. Joshna defeated Megan Best of Barbados 11-8, 11-9, 12-10. Joshna won the first two sets with ease. After this, Joshna got a tough fight in the third set.

The 35-year-old veteran Saurav Ghoshal defeated the Sri Lankan lawyer involved. Ghosal defeated the Sri Lankan player 11-4, 11-4 and 11-6. Now after winning the match, Saurav Ghosal has reached the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games 2022. Saurav Ghoshal defeated Greg Loban in the quarterfinal match.
