The world’s great tennis player Rafael Nadal is currently participating in the US Open, the last Grand Slam tournament of the year. They have made it to the third round by winning the second round. In the second round, he defeated Fabio Fognini of Italy in a tough match. But Nadal got hurt during this match. This injury hit his nose.
Nadal was given a tough competition by the Italian player. This match went till the fourth set. Nadal suffered this injury in the fourth set of this match. Returning a shot, Nadal gave his own racket to his nose. After this, blood started coming out in his nose. Nadal played the shot from a long distance and when he returned, his racket hit the ground and hit his nose.

As soon as Nadal got this injury, he immediately left the racket and went to his chair kept near the chair umpire and went there and lay down on the ground. After this the doctor came and cleaned the blood coming on Nadal’s nose and then tied the bandage. After this Nadal got up and stood up and as soon as he got up the whole court erupted in applause. Nadal got up and washed his face again and continued his game.

In women, two-time French Open champion Inga Swiatake registered an easy win. Swiatake beat 2017 US Open winner Sloane Stephens 6-3, 6-2 in the second round to register her 50th WTA Tour win this season. In the women’s section, out of four players who have reached the final since last year, only sixth seed Aryna Sabalenka remains in the tournament. She made a spectacular comeback after going down 5-1 in the second set to beat Kaya Kanepi 2-6, 7-6 (8), 6-4. But fourth seed Paula Badosa suffered a 6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-2 loss to Croatian Petra Martic.

Jessica Pegula, Garbine Muguruza, Belinda Bencic and Victoria Azarenka were among the other players who registered victories in the women’s section on Thursday. Among men, third seed Carlos Alcaraz defeated Federico Correa of Argentina 6-2, 6-1, 7-5. Apart from them, Cameron Norie, Andre Rublev, Yannick Sinner and Marin Cilic also registered victories in the men’s section but 25th seed Borna Korich suffered a loss.
