IND VS NZ T20 Series: The T20 match between India and New Zealand will be played on January 29 at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. So far the Indian men’s team has played two T20 matches and one ODI at the Ekana Stadium. Out of which India has won both the T20 matches against West Indies and Sri Lanka. While India had to face defeat in the ODI match against South Africa. The Indian team played T20 match for the first time in the history of cricket in Lucknow on 8 November 2018.
Great performance of India in IKANA
Earlier in Lucknow, India’s men’s team has played two T20 matches against West Indies and Sri Lanka. While one ODI match has also been played against South Africa. Long ago two Test matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka were played at the KD Singh Babu Stadium in Lucknow. So at the same time, the women’s team has played ODIs, Tests and T20 matches against England, West Indies and South Africa. This history of Ekana Stadium
Bharat Ratna Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ikana Cricket Stadium was earlier named as Ikana International Cricket Stadium. This stadium has a seating capacity of 50,000 people. It is the fifth largest international cricket stadium in India in terms of spectators. The Ekana Cricket Stadium was inaugurated in 2017. After which on 6 November 2018, Ekana Stadium played its first international match as a T20 match between India and West Indies. Ekana Stadium became the 52nd stadium in India to host an international cricket match.
