ICC World Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma has mentioned the names of Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni in golden words in the list of Indian captains who have won the ICC Cricket World Cup. The current captain of the Indian team missed the golden opportunity to include Rohit Sharma’s name along with them. The Men in Blue have suffered a painful defeat at the hands of Australia in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The final match of the World Cup 2023 was played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Painful destination after India’s undefeated journey
India came into the final of the game as favorites to win the trophy for the third time in history. India have won all 10 games so far in the tournament. However, Australia upped their game for the big day and were crowned world champions for the sixth time in history with a 6-wicket victory.

Rohit Sharma is the second highest run scorer

Kapil Dev had led the Indian team to victory in the 1983 World Cup despite all obstacles. India became world champion for the first time.
