IPL 2023: Indian Premier League 2023 is going to start from 31st March. Even before the start, there has been news of a big change regarding IPL. The Indian Cricket Board has thought of making some changes in the IPL. These changes are the kind that can have a big impact on the outcome of the match. Till the last season, playing-11 was announced before the toss in IPL. Before the toss, the playing-11 list is given to the match referee. But from IPL 2023 this rule will be changed.
Captain can tell playing-11 after toss
There is going to be a big change in the rules from IPL 2023. Now after the toss is done, the playing-11 will be announced. ESPNcricinfo has told this in its released report. According to reports, after the toss, the captains of both the teams will hand over the playing-11 list to the referee. In such a situation, the captain can now go to the toss with two lists with him.

This rule was implemented in South Africa T20 League
Let me tell you that IPL is not the first league in the world which will adopt this rule. This rule was also seen in the recently concluded South Africa T20 League. In this new franchise tournament too, both the teams could announce their playing-11 after the toss. Teams used to name 13 players on a sheet and later after the toss, announced their playing XI. Now the Indian Cricket Board has decided to do the same in IPL. All the teams are going to benefit from this rule made by BCCI. But now it will be very interesting to see which team can take advantage of this new rule.
