The teams of India and Australia will face each other in a 5-match T20 series from November 23, a few days after the conclusion of the World Cup 2023. For this series, the selectors of the Australian cricket team have taken a surprising decision and handed over the command of the 15-member team to wicketkeeper batsman Matthew Wade. Matthew Wade has been in and out of the Australian team for some time. But the selectors have expressed confidence in him for captaincy.
Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood will return to their country, Smith-Warner will be with the team.
Out of 15 players of Australia’s World Cup squad, 8 players will be part of this series. Apart from captain Pat Cummins, star players like Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Cameron Green, Mitchell Marsh, Marnus Labuschagne have not been included, who will return to their country directly after the World Cup is over. So great players like Steven Smith, David Warner, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Travis Head have been selected in the T20 squad.
