Mumbai, (EMS). There has been a split in NCP after Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s decision to support BJP-Shiv Sena. After this, a new controversy has started on who is part of NCP, Ajit Pawar or Sharad Pawar. Claims and counter-claims are being made by both the groups regarding which group will get the name of the Nationalist Party and the election symbol of the clock. However, now on the basis of a statement by NCP state president Jayant Patil, discussion has started that the party’s name and election symbol will go away from the hands of Sharad Pawar. Actually, while talking to the media in Pune, Jayant Patil has given a big statement in this regard.
He said, the claim of those who have gone from us is before ours. So it seems that the Election Commission has accepted him that the election symbol and name of the party will go to him. If the decision of the Election Commission has been taken then the Supreme Court is the only remedy against it. If what happened to Shiv Sena happens to NCP then the people of Maharashtra will not forgive it and BJP will have to face a lot of anger.
After Jayant Patil’s statement, discussion has started that the name and symbol of NCP will go away from the hands of Sharad Pawar. Just as Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had claimed that we are Shiv Sena, similarly Ajit Pawar has also claimed that we are nationalists. Ajit Pawar has also said that he has the support of most of the MLAs.
If the matter goes to the Election Commission in future, then like the Shiv Sena party, the Election Commission can also investigate the matter and like the Shiv Sena, can give the election symbol to NCP and the rebel faction of NCP (Ajit Pawar). However, this will be known only in the coming time.
