Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders also targeted Saxena. The party’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh asked the Lt Governor whether he should not have “zero tolerance” against corruption as well.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai also tweeted and asked the Lt Governor why he was afraid of investigation if he had not done anything wrong.
Lt Governor Saxena on Thursday hit back at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on allegations of corruption by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying that he is adopting deviating methods and making false allegations out of desperation.
The Lt Governor tweeted, “I advocated good governance, zero tolerance for corruption and better service to the people of Delhi. But unfortunately Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ji in desperation adopted diversionary methods and made false allegations.
Hitting back at Saxena, Sisodia tweeted, “Why are you so scared of investigation? It seems that the matter is a bit messed up.”
He said, “I hadn’t done anything wrong, so I didn’t feel scared. I did a thorough investigation and found nothing. My honesty has been proved again in front of the whole country.
Sanjay Singh asked Saxena whether he had awarded contracts to his daughter without any tender during his tenure as the head of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
Singh tweeted and asked, “So many tweets against Arvind ji? Are you so scared? Should there be ‘zero tolerance’ against your corruption too? People are telling many of your cases during KVIC tenure. Did you give contract to your daughter without tender? Does Modi ji (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) know about it?”
