Ghulam Nabi Azad, who broke away from the Congress, said in Jammu on Sunday that he would form his new party. He said that the flag of his party would be such which would be accepted by the people of every religion. The flag and name of the party will be decided by the people of Kashmir. This is Azad’s first rally after resigning from the Congress.
Azad said without naming anyone in the Congress high command that they are furious about forming my new party, but I do not wish to harm anyone.
#WATCH Those who are trying to defame us have only access on Twitter, computers and SMS, so Congress has disappeared from the ground: Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Congress leader in Sainik Colony, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir pic.twitter.com/mFDaTAj1sS

3 agendas of Azad’s party
- Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
- Outsiders should not buy land.
- Jobs should be given only to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
What was said on the new party and on the Congress…
new party: I haven’t decided the name of the party yet. The flag and name will be decided by Kashmiris. I will give the name Hindustani to my party, which can be understood by everyone.
Congress: We have formed Congress, made it with our blood and sweat. Congress is not made of computer and Twitter. Those who are plotting to defame us have only access to computers and tweets. This is the reason why Congress is no longer visible on the ground. Those people should be happy in the debate, they should have the same luck. We are fine with elders, farmers. Congratulations to him on his kingship.
64 Congress leaders from Jammu may join the new party
Azad left the Congress on 26 August. After him, four leaders, including the former deputy speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, also resigned from the Congress. Apart from these, former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Tara Chand, former minister Majid Wani and Manohar Lal Sharma also left the Congress. Altogether 64 leaders have resigned from the Congress. It is believed that all these people can join Azad’s new party.
Answer given on Congress’s DNA statement
Many Congress leaders are now openly making rhetoric against Ghulam Nabi. Recently, the Congress questioned Azad’s DNA. A party leader had said that Azad’s DNA has changed to Modi-may. Now Azad has hit back at the Congress on the question being raised on his DNA. If you meet and talk to people from other political parties, it does not change your DNA, he said.
