Delhi: Delhi government has started taking decisions according to its infrastructure budget 2023. Under this, a plan to make an Inter State Bus Terminal was announced today. Which will be built in Dwarka, Delhi. This plan was pending for a long time due to budget constraints. Now this Kejriwal government has given its seal. Through this, people will now be connected to Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan from Dwarka Terminal. This will be the fourth terminal of Delhi.

About 1.5 lakh passengers are going to benefit from this Inter State Bus Terminal to be built in Dwarka area of Delhi. It will connect the nearest Dwarka Sector-21 metro station. This terminal will be built in Dwarka Sector-22. It is initially planned to be operational with 100 buses. People going to Indira Gandhi Airport will get the biggest benefit of this. Which mostly bring passengers from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan by bolvo buses. There are also plans to develop IT park, convention center and freight complex etc. around it.

Earlier it was to be built under the PPP model
This Inter State Bus Terminal was to be built first under the PPP model. But the construction agency was not at all interested. This bus terminal, to be built on 22-27 hectares of land, was being built by the agency on the operational responsibility of 33 years. Now after the recommendation of this scheme in the budget, fresh tenders will be floated soon.
