CM Mann: Punjab University(PU) swords have been drawn between Punjab and Haryana over the share. Today, once again there was another round of talks between Punjab CM Mann and Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar regarding the university. Which ended without any result. Let us tell you that today a meeting with the CMs of both the states was held at the UT Secretariat under the chairmanship of Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit. This meeting where Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar put forth his stand regarding his stake in Panjab University. But when it came to favor Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, he flatly refused to give any share.

PU There was a clear refusal from the Punjab side to give a share. He told that Panjab University is the heritage of Punjab. Arguing, he has said that in 1970 itself, the then CM of Haryana Banshilal had taken out a part from Punjab University and added the college to Kurukshetra University. After listening to the reply of Punjab, the meeting which lasted for about one hour ended inconclusively. After this, Governor Purohit has called a meeting on this issue again on July 3 next month.

Know what Haryana CM said
Talking to the media after the meeting, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar said that the government is constantly making efforts to provide better education to the youth of Haryana. The youth of Haryana should get the option of Punjab University.
