Punjab Electricity Bill Zero: After giving 300 units of free electricity by the Bhagwat Mann government of Punjab following the path of Delhi CM Kejriwal, the public has started getting the benefit of free electricity. Every week PSPCL bills around 10 lakh consumers and in the cycle of 27 July to 3 August, about 77% consumers availed 300 units of free electricity. Out of the total 10 lakh consumers of Punjab, about 8 lakh have received zero bills for the month of July. In this way, out of the total 74.5 lakh customers, about 80% will get the benefit of this free electricity scheme.
8 lakh consumers out of 10 lakh benefited
Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh said on Thursday- “About 80% of the consumers who got electricity bill this month have got the benefit of free electricity scheme of the Aam Aadmi Party government.” As per the order of the Punjab Government, PSPCL is providing 300 units of free electricity per month to the consumers of the state from 1st July. Out of the total 10 lakh customers, about 8 lakh have got zero bill for the month of July. In this way, about 80 percent of the total 74.5 lakh customers will benefit from this free electricity scheme. This is the best way to provide relief to all sections of the society.

Along with this, on the arrival of zero bill, an official said – “Most of the consumers who take advantage of this are rural and urban poor, as well as those people whose electricity load is less than 7 kW. In the notification of the Electricity Department, it has been said to provide 300 units per month free of cost to all domestic consumers.
