Aam Aadmi Party and BJP are targeting each other in Delhi over allegations of corruption. Meanwhile, the sit-in protest of AAP and BJP MLAs has been going on in the Delhi Assembly premises since Monday night. AAP MLAs staged a sit-in inside the Delhi Assembly demanding the resignation of Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena.
AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak made serious allegations against Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena inside the assembly. He said- LG was the chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Department in 2016, at that time he committed a scam of Rs 1400 crore. At the same time, BJP MLAs demanded the sacking of ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain for corruption.
Even after the rain, the MLAs of both the parties continued to sit at their respective dharnas in the assembly premises. AAP MLAs staged a sit-in in front of Bapu’s statue in the assembly premises, while BJP legislators staged a sit-in near the statues of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
Kejriwal is doing gimmicks – Leader of Opposition Bidhuri
Leader of Opposition Ramveer Singh Bidhuri said- Kejriwal is using the assembly for political campaign on his own free will to divert the attention of the people from his government’s liquor scam. All the eight BJP MLAs were not part of the proceedings of the special session of the Delhi Assembly on Monday and Friday as they were thrown out of the House. BJP MLAs defended Lt Governor VK Saxena and said that AAP leaders are leveling corruption charges against him for revenge.
CBI is coming to see the bank locker – Sisodia
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia tweeted that the CBI is going to visit his bank locker on Tuesday. He said that on August 19, nothing was found in the 14-hour raid at my house and nothing will be found in the locker either. On August 19, CBI had raided 21 places including Delhi NCR. Sisodia said that the CBI is welcome and I and my family will have full cooperation in the investigation.
2 reasons for the discord between AAP-BJP
On August 19, the CBI raided Manish Sisodia’s house regarding the excise policy. It lasted for about 14 hours and the CBI had registered a case in this matter under the PMLA Act. Since then, AAP has been vocal against the ruling party BJP at the Centre.
Sisodia had said after the raid that the BJP had offered him to quit AAP and become the CM. On the other hand, BJP said in response – Aam Aadmi Party is creating an atmosphere of lies to avoid the allegation of corruption.
