Amidst the political turmoil in Jharkhand, preparations are being made to take the MLAs of the coalition party to Raipur. In this regard, a special Indigo flight has been booked at Ranchi Airport. MLAs can be shifted to Raipur at 4.30 pm. All MLAs and ministers are reaching CM House. It is being told that from here the MLAs will be taken to the airport through buses. Then the MLAs will be sent to Raipur from the airport.
Preparations have started for the arrival of MLAs at Raipur airport as well. The MLAs will be taken from the airport to the Mayfair Resort in Naya Raipur by buses. There is news of MLAs reaching Raipur by 5.30 pm. It is being told that the booking has been done for 30-31 August in the resort.
Soren calls cabinet meeting on September 1
CM Hemant Soren has called a cabinet meeting on 1 September. In this, things are being said about taking many important decisions related to the interest of the public. At the same time, the decision related to the legislature of BJP’s legislature party leader Babu Lal Marandi is also going to come from the Speaker’s side today.
In such a situation, there is a possibility of stir once again in the politics of Jharkhand, which was calm on Monday. Meanwhile, on Monday, the legislature of Basant Soren, brother of CM Hemant Soren, was also discussed in the Election Commission but no decision could be taken on it.
Waiting for the letter of Raj Bhavan to the Election Commission
Meanwhile, if a senior official of the Election Commission is to be believed, the ball is still in the court of Raj Bhavan. The Election Commission has already given its decision after thorough investigation into the matter. The order is to be issued to the Governor. Further action will be taken after the instructions of Raj Bhavan. Raj Bhavan will issue a gadget in this regard, which the State Election Commission will give to the Speaker. After that further action will be started.
Now the CM also targeted the Governor
CM Hemant Soren targeted the Governor on asking questions related to the instructions from the Election Commission. He said that only Governor Ramesh Bais will tell this. They are waiting too. Only Raj Bhavan will be able to tell better about the current situation. The CM said that he does not mess with the chair. They deal with three and a half crore people of the state, tribals, dalits, backward, poor, laborers.
CM Hemant Soren said that there is nothing to worry. Referring to the three Congress MLAs arrested in Kolkata with cash, on the question of horse-trading, he said – The reason for the arrest of the three MLAs is a matter of investigation. There are some that stand to be sold and some that do not. Those caught get into trouble. Those who survive, they become bat-bats.
Sorene’s wife’s name at the fore
If Soren’s chief minister’s chair goes, then the first name for this post is that of Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren. Joba Manjhi and Champai Soren are at number two and third. Both are very close and trusted to the Soren family. The Congress has also not raised any objection to these names yet.
What is a mining lease case?
On 10 February, a delegation of BJP under the leadership of former CM Raghuvar Das met the governor. BJP had demanded the governor to cancel the membership of CM Soren. BJP had alleged that CM Soren, while in office, had taken 88 decimal stone mining lease in Angada, Ranchi. BJP alleges that this is a violation of Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act (RP) 1951. The Governor sent this complaint of BJP to the Election Commission.
Action may be taken against Babulal Marandi in defection case
Actually Babulal joined the BJP after being elected in the assembly elections 2019 on the symbol of JVM (Jharkhand Vikas Morcha) on Marandi. Marandi said that he has merged JVM with BJP as per rules. After expelling two of the three MLAs, the only MLA left in the party decided to merge the party. It does not become a case of defection. The merger of BJP with JVM has also got the approval of the Election Commission.
Whereas it was said on behalf of complainant MLAs Deepika Pandey Singh and Pradeep Yadav that JVM has not merged with BJP with a two-thirds majority. It becomes a matter of defection. After a long debate on this, the Speaker of the Assembly can pronounce the verdict today.
Babulal Marandi became the first CM
With the formation of Jharkhand on 15 November 2000, Babulal Marandi took charge of the state for the first time in the BJP government and became the first CM of Jharkhand. However, he could not complete his term. He had to leave the post of Chief Minister due to internal opposition.
11 CMs have changed in 22 years of Jharkhand’s formation. Among them, Shibu Soren, father of the current CM Hemant Soren, was the CM for the shortest 10 days while Raghuvar Das of BJP was the CM for the maximum 5 years. Raghubar Das is the only Chief Minister of Jharkhand who has completed his term.
