Mann Ki Baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a big appeal while addressing the country through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program on Sunday morning. He said that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ is being run from August 13 to 15, celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav on the 75th anniversary of independence. Under this, while appealing to the country, he said that between August 2 and August 15, every countryman must put the tricolor in the profile picture of their social media.
The PM made this special appeal in the 91st episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. During the program PM Modi said, “This time ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is very special. The reason for this is Independence Day. This year India will complete 75 years of its independence. We all will witness a very wonderful and historic moment. God has given us this great fortune.”
Further, while paying homage to Shaheed Udyam Singh, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today all of us countrymen bow down to the martyrdom of Shaheed Udyam Singh ji. I pay my humble tribute to all such other revolutionaries who laid down their lives for the country.

‘Azadi’s nectar festival’ has taken the form of mass movement
Prime Minister Modi said that I am very happy to see that today the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence is taking the form of a mass movement. A very interesting effort was also made in this direction, whose name is Azadi ki train and railway station. The goal of this effort is to make people understand the role of Indian Railways in the freedom struggle. He said, the Gomo Junction in Jharkhand is now officially known as ‘Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Gomo Station’. The PM further told about the history related to this station that sitting in Kalka at this station, Netaji was successful in dodging the British officers.
PM Modi said, the only message from the efforts being made in this nectar festival of independence is that all of us countrymen should perform our duties with full devotion. Only then will we be able to fulfill the dreams of those countless freedom fighters. Our fighters have given us this responsibility and we have to fulfill it fully.

Talking about the farmers, Prime Minister Modi said, “The sweetness of honey is changing the lives of our farmers as well. The income of farmers is increasing. Today, youth doing professional studies are also joining this work and making it self-employed. Further he also discussed about the fairs and told that the fairs have had cultural importance in our country.
Apart from this, the PM appreciated the excellent performance of the players and youth in different fields. PM Modi mentioned about PV Sindhu, Neeraj Chopra and 44th Chess Olympiad in Chennai. The PM further said that a few days ago the results of class 10th and 12th have also been declared across the country, I congratulate all those students who have achieved success with their hard work and dedication.
