Mann Government: Due to increasing smuggling of narcotics and weapons through drones from across the border in Punjab, the Hon’ble Government has swung into action. He has ordered the Punjab Police to deploy the Drone Emergency Response System on the Pakistan border. After which if any kind of drone drops arms consignment or drugs in the border areas. So this system will take immediate action. A complete mechanism has been prepared under this system. Whose only complete task will be to deactivate any kind of drone activity coming from across the border keeping Pakistan in mind.
Emergency response system will be like this
In the first phase of this entire response mechanism, Village Police Officers will be deployed in 108 villages of Amritsar. Who, along with the rural vigilance committees, will carry out surveillance on the border areas at night. These officers will mainly prepare a complete record of those people who are involved in criminal drug and arms trafficking and are part of a network. Along with this, the track record of their properties will be investigated. Along with this, all the exit points of every suspected village will be marked and a blueprint will be drawn of them which are used for smuggling. As soon as this whole system starts dropping weapons and drugs from a drone, the whole team will be activated simultaneously. As soon as it informs the control room, the response team will reach the spot in the next 5-7 minutes.

Let us tell you that there has been a sudden increase in the intrusion of drones in the last few months. In which BSF shot down about 5 drones. Weapons and drugs were recovered by targeting all these drones in the Amritsar border. Only after this a high level meeting of the Punjab Police was called. In which DIG Narendra Bhargava said that the villages where more cases of drone infiltration are coming. Their effort is to crack down on the smuggling of drugs and weapons.
