The party’s Delhi in-charge Ajay Kumar, Pradesh Congress Committee president Anil Chowdhary and several other senior leaders of the Delhi unit surrounded Kejriwal on issues related to Dalits, minorities and women.
Kumar said that whenever issues related to minorities and Dalits came up in Delhi, Kejriwal remained silent on them.
He said, “Whether it was the anti-CAA movement, the Bilkis Bano case or the Delhi riots, Kejriwal remained silent. Their behavior has been similar to that of the BJP and the RSS.
Kumar alleged that Kejriwal has many faces which he keeps changing according to time. He expressed hope, “There is a wave in favor of Congress in Delhi and this time it will become mayor.”
Anil Chowdhary alleged, “Kejriwal cut down the allocation for schemes related to Dalits in Delhi. During Sheila Dikshit’s government, there was a separate allocation for the development of Dalit settlements, Kejriwal ended that too.
He said, “Nobody has forgotten the comments made by Kejriwal regarding Nizamuddin’s Markaz during the Corona period. Kejriwal made statements against the Shaheen Bagh movement.
Chowdhary alleged, “Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party have swept away the rights of Dalits and minorities.”
Broom is the election symbol of Aam Aadmi Party.
Rajesh Lilothia, head of the Congress’s scheduled department, said, “At present the MCD in Delhi stands for ‘Malaria, Chikungunya and Dengue’. But when we get a chance, we will make it ‘Meri Chamakti Dilli’.
