Gujarat Election 2022: In a tweet, Kejriwal asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is planning to announce Union Home Minister Amit Shah as its chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Before the assembly elections in Gujarat, all the political parties including BJP, Aam Aadmi Party are pushing. Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that he is “intimidated” by the growing influence of the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat. He asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party was going to field Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the post of Chief Minister in the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
CM Kejriwal tweeted and wrote, “Aam Aadmi Party is growing rapidly in Gujarat. The BJP is horrified. Is it true that in the upcoming assembly elections, BJP is going to declare Amit Shah ji as the chief ministerial face of Gujarat? Is BJP also angry with Bhupendra Bhai Patel’s work?
In March, Kejriwal made a similar claim and asked whether Lakshadweep administrator Praful K Patel would be made the next lieutenant governor of Delhi. Then Anil Baijal was the LG of Delhi and VK Saxena has got this responsibility after him. On April 7 also, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had claimed that the BJP was considering bringing in Union Minister Anurag Thakur in place of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur ahead of the assembly elections in the state. but that did not happen.

Then AAP leader Manish Sisodia, citing his claim as credible sources, said that the BJP wants to make a big change as it fears defeat in the upcoming elections due to AAP’s growing popularity in the hill state. During the Goa Assembly elections in October last year, Sisodia had claimed that the saffron party was ready to replace Chief Minister Pramod Sawant as people were unhappy with his government’s performance. The BJP had even then rejected the AAP leader’s claim.
