Ghaziabad News: Uttar Pradesh government had recently made a big announcement for electricity consumers. Under the instructions issued by the government, it was also said that huge discount will be given on paying the outstanding electricity bill through One Time Settlement Scheme (OTS). Ghaziabad administration also seems to be alert in this regard and a new advisory has been issued by the District Magistrate Ghaziabad in this regard. According to the latest information, the District Magistrate has held a meeting with the officials and given necessary instructions for the successful implementation of the instructions issued by the Electricity Department regarding OTS.
OTS will be implemented in three periods
Information in this regard has been given from the official handle of Ghaziabad District Magistrate that the OTS scheme will be implemented in three periods. Under this, the first period will be applicable from 8 November to 30 November 2023, the second period from 1 December to 15 December 2023 and the third period from 16 December to 31 December 2023. Electricity consumers can avail the benefits of the scheme by paying their outstanding bills during this stipulated time period. It is reported that those who take advantage of the scheme by registering on November 30, i.e. in the first period, will get more benefits.

According to the information given by Ghaziabad administration, to avail the benefit of one-time settlement scheme in the district, registration can be done by visiting uppcl.org website. Apart from this, you can also complete the registration process by visiting your nearest public service center, after which you can avail the benefits of the scheme and save money. It is reported that consumers who register for the one-time settlement will be given a maximum of 30 days to deposit the outstanding bills along with the current bill.

For this they will have to give a declaration that the case will be withdrawn after making full payment. Apart from this, the Electricity Department will also organize camps regularly for bill amendment.
