In the midst of the ongoing political crisis in Jharkhand, the Grand Alliance government is now pressurizing the Governor to issue a notification. The MLAs of the Grand Alliance have alleged that the Governor is deliberately delaying the issuance of the notification, so that the BJP gets time to do horse trading.
On the other hand, if BJP sources are to be believed, many Congress MLAs are still in touch with BJP. A senior leader of Jharkhand Congress, on the condition of anonymity, said that all the information about it is from the state to the national level leaders.
They are trying to unite their MLAs. State in-charge Avinash Pandey has been camping in Jharkhand for the last two days and holding a one-to-one meeting with the MLAs to keep the Congress united in the state.
This fear is haunting CM Hemant Soren
CM Hemant Soren is also afraid that BJP may play some big trick to topple the government in the state. This is the reason why they are taking the MLAs out for dinner and sometimes on a political picnic. They are trying to give the message that all is well in the government.
Notification on Soren’s Legislature today
Meanwhile, now the leaders of the Grand Alliance are putting pressure on the Raj Bhavan. They are directly challenging the governor. Champai Soren said that if the Election Commission has sent any report to the Raj Bhavan, it should be made public immediately. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the Election Commission may issue notification related to the legislature of CM Hemant Soren anytime on Monday.
Decision on Basant Soren also today
The decision regarding the legislature of his younger brother Basant Soren along with CM Hemant Soren can also be given by the Election Commission today. Its hearing is almost over. Now it is believed that the decision on the membership of both the brothers can be pronounced simultaneously.
Claims of support of more than 50 MLAs
Minister in Jharkhand government Banna Gupta said that it is better to die like a lion than to die every day by choking, it is not right to die like a coward. That’s why we will fight, neither bow nor bow down. Will show the people by doing every pie work of the majority given by the people. We have more than 50 MLAs.
Threat to BJP
The threat is not only to JMM. Adequate preparations have also been made by the government. The sword is also hanging on the legislature of Babu Lal Marandi, the biggest leader of BJP in the assembly. On August 30, the hearing against Marandi is fixed in the tribunal of Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto.
The central leaders of the BJP have become aware of the situation in Jharkhand. Under the guise of anti-defection law against Babulal Marandi, his legislature can be terminated. This action will be taken after the departure of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s legislature, hurting the BJP.
Threat on the legislature of 7 MLAs
The matter is not ending only till the legislature of Babu Lal Marandi and Hemant Soren. Legislature of 7 MLAs of Jharkhand Legislative Assembly is under threat. Of these, there are six such, whose legislature is facing serious threat.
These include Chief Minister Hemant Soren of the ruling party, Basant Soren, Irfan Ansari, Naman Vixal Kongadi, Rajesh Kachhap and Babulal Marandi of the opposition.
Understand the maths after leaving their legislature
If, at the time of proving majority in the assembly, there are less 6 MLAs, then 5 of them will be from the UPA. In such a situation, the number of remaining MLAs will be 76. If the speaker does not need to vote, then this number will be 75, then the majority figure will be 38. 45 MLAs are with UPA even in the absence of 5 MLAs supporting UPA.
CM played tribal card again
CM Hemant Soren forwarded all his senior MLAs Minister Champai Soren, Stephen Marandi, Lobin Hembram in the press conference. Champai Soren said that today when a tribal son is developing Jharkhand, resolving years old problems, rights of tribals, dalits, minorities are being protected, then BJP is not able to digest it.
Sorene’s wife’s name tops the list of chief ministers
If Soren’s chief minister’s chair goes, then the first name for this post is that of Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren. Joba Manjhi and Champai Soren are at number two and third. Both are very close and trusted to the Soren family. The Congress has also not raised any objection to these names yet.
Know the matter of mining lease
On 10 February, a delegation of BJP under the leadership of former CM Raghuvar Das met the governor. BJP had demanded the governor to cancel the membership of CM Soren. BJP had alleged that CM Soren, while in office, had taken 88 decimal stone mining lease in Angada, Ranchi. BJP alleges that this is a violation of Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act (RP) 1951. The Governor had sent this complaint of BJP to the Election Commission.
