Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh: The police action comes amid long-running protests by wrestlers against former Wrestling Federation of India president and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The case was registered following a Supreme Court order against the BJP MP, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment. But still the arrest was not made. Even after the registration of the FIR, the protest by the wrestlers continued in which a lot of politics took place. Now an SIT team of Delhi Police has reached the ancestral residence of MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh located in Bishnoharpur village of police station Nababganj in Gonda, UP. After reaching there, the team has recorded the statements of a dozen witnesses close to the MP. The SIT team probing has already recorded statements of 125 witnesses.
Allegations of sexual abuse during wrestling competitions are under investigation
Let us tell you that the Delhi Police SIT has come to investigate the matter of allegations of sexual exploitation during the competitions held in the country and abroad. During the investigation, the SIT team has taken the statements of the family members, associates, security personnel and other close people of MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Along with the statements recorded, the names, addresses, mobile numbers and their identity cards of the concerned people have also been taken along with the investigation team as evidence. Let us tell you that after the intervention of the Supreme Court, the Delhi Police had registered an FIR against the wrestlers, in which one case is also related to the POCSO Act.

Gonda police is away from this investigation
Regarding the investigation of SIT at the ancestral residence of MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a close friend of him confirmed the arrival of Delhi Police on the condition of anonymity. When the role of Gonda police was questioned regarding this matter. So SP Gonda Akash Tomar told that this is a high level investigation, in which there is no interference of Gonda police.
