At the same time, the idea behind creating a food hub is to promote food business and create employment. The scheme was a part of Delhi government’s annual budget 2022-23 which aims to create 20 lakh jobs in five years through food hubs, redevelopment of markets, shopping festivals etc.

Kejriwal government will pay attention to these points
Recently Kejriwal said that the government will focus on physical infrastructure, food security and branding of identified food centres. He said that “Delhi is considered as the food capital of India. The people of Delhi are fond of eating and feeding food. All kinds of food are available in the capital from all over the world. Some places are known for Punjabi food and some for South Indian food. We plan to take this concept further.”
