After NIA raids on 93 locations of Popular Front of India (PFI) in 15 states, PFI has called a Kerala bandh on Friday. The activists of the organization opposing the NIA Raid turned violent. PFI activists vandalized government buses and vehicles in the capital Thiruvananthapuram and Koyattam.
According to police, two policemen were attacked by PFI activists riding motorcycles in Kollam. In view of the performance of PFI, the state government has made additional deployment of police forces.

Raids from Kerala to Bengal, 106 arrested
On Thursday, the NIA along with the ED conducted raids in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Maharashtra, Bihar, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Odisha and Rajasthan. More than 300 NIA officers were involved in the raid. During this, the investigating agency arrested 106 PFI workers.
Why the raid took place, 3 reasons…
Allegations of terror funding in the states: According to information received from NIA officials, a large number of terror funding has been done to increase terrorist activity in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad. After checking the link, the investigating agency has taken this action.
Allegations of setting up training camps: According to sources, the NIA got information that PFI is organizing training camps on a large scale in many states for the last few months. In this, along with giving training to operate weapons, people were also being brainwashed.
Link of Phulwari Sharif: In July, raids have also been conducted regarding the terrorist module found in Phulwari Sharif near Patna. A 7 page document named India 2047 was also found from the members of PFI in Phulwari Sharif. In this, there was a plan to make India a Muslim nation in the next 25 years.
The plan of action on PFI was made during the visit of Home Minister Amit Shah to Bengaluru on 4 August. Amit Shah had come here to participate in a program. After the program, there was a meeting between Amit Shah, Karnataka CM Basava Raj Bommai and state Home Minister Araga Gyanendra. After the meeting, the central government is preparing for action on PFI, Bhaskar had told about this on 9 August itself.
