Keeping pace with the policies of the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh has also taken several steps towards making women empowered and self-reliant. A new era of women empowerment has started in the state due to the efforts of the double engine government. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is committed to protecting the dignity of women while taking forward the resolve to empower women. In the state, daughters are getting full opportunities for education and self-employment.
To make the life of women easier and safer, many schemes of the Central Government are running well in the state. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has given instructions to extend the benefits of all the schemes to the beneficiaries. With more than 65 lakh families getting tap connections through Jal Jeevan Mission, women have been freed from the trouble of walking miles to fetch water. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), there has been a change in the lives of more than 36 lakh rural families, out of which more than 70 percent of the house owners have become women.
1576 crores in the accounts of beloved sisters
State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, taking forward the resolve of women empowerment, has deposited an amount of more than Rs 1576 crore in the accounts of 1 crore 29 lakh beloved sisters of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has provided financial security to women by giving social security pension amount of Rs 341 crore to more than 56 lakh beneficiaries of the state. Along with this, while 50 percent reservation is being given to women in government appointments in the state, 30 percent seats have been reserved for women in police recruitment.

Women's interests have been protected by giving 33 percent reservation to women even in general recruitments. Apart from government service, daughters are also starting their own businesses under the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana. This is a big step of the state government towards improving the living standards of women in the state. While Ladli Lakshmi Yojana has provided education to daughters, Chief Minister's Kanya Vivah and Nikaya Yojana has removed the worries of daughters from poor families getting married.
Livelihood Mission changed the fate of women
Women self-help groups have done excellent work under the Livelihood Mission in Madhya Pradesh. Today, while the women of the state are getting empowered through this scheme, they are also performing many tasks like running a general store, readymade garments, flour mill, sewing work, ration shop etc. Women self-help groups in the state have been empowered on a large scale through government schemes.
The work of providing loans to the self-help groups formed under the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission was carried out at a rapid pace in the state, as a result of which 1.36 crore people of Madhya Pradesh have been freed from poverty. These also include 15 lakh women of the State Rural Livelihood Mission. Till now, women have sold products worth several crores of rupees through the livelihood portal.
Happiness came in the lives of women
While the future of lakhs of daughters of the state is being secured through Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, crores of women in the state have got financial security by opening Jan-Dhan accounts. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, toilets have been constructed in homes. Along with this, Nari Samman Kosh has been established. Women startups have been given a special place in the new startup policy of the government. Many schemes like Food Subsidy Scheme, Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission are running in the state and the lives of women and daughters have improved. All efforts are being made to make women empowered and self-reliant in every scheme from the Central to the State Government.
