Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding thunderstorms and rains in many states today i.e. on Saturday. The department has issued Orange Alert for many areas of Karnataka and Maharashtra today. Yellow alert has been issued for several states including Punjab, Delhi, Himalayan region, Haryana and NCR. The department has issued a weather update regarding thunderstorms in all these states.
According to IMD, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Telangana states also have rain and thunderstorm warnings till March 19. Along with this, the possibility of rain, thunderstorm and hailstorm has also been expressed in northwestern India including the western Himalayan region.
Yellow Alert (Weather Update) in Rajasthan
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota and Udaipur divisions today. Also, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions. The department has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm, lightning, hailstorm and gusty winds in 27 districts of the state today.
