Dhadkan got 528 votes for the post of Vice President. While the opposition candidate Margaret Alva got 182 votes. A total of 725 votes were cast in the Vice Presidential election. Of these, 710 votes were found valid and 15 votes were found invalid. Home Minister Amit Shah has also congratulated Jagdeep on being elected as the Vice President. Amit Shah says that the election of farmer’s son Jagdeep Dhankhar as the Vice President of India is a matter of joy for the country.
